This position is based in Las Vegas, the UFC’s hometown and the Fight Capital of the World. Strategy for Winning:
Our office consists of people who are passionate, dedicated and innovative. The Athlete Medical Record Assistant creates new medical record files and retrieves existing medical record files by gathering appropriate information from upcoming event cards, files medical documents, medical claim forms, and other medical records in appropriate file; maintains records.
Maintain record availability by creating and filing new medical record files for each athlete.
File all medical correspondence in appropriate athlete medical file.
Track and deliver medical status of all assigned athletes to appropriate staff.
Scan and deliver, via email, all health insurance claim forms received from hospitals, imaging centers, etc.
Log all explanation of benefits in excel; match and file with appropriate health insurance claim form.
Maintain medical/dental office and hospital contacts.
Create and maintain all files associated with upcoming events.
Maintain athlete confidence by keeping medical information confidential; HIPPA compliant.
Serve and protect all athletes and Zuffa, LLC by adhering to professional standards, Zuffa, LLC’s policy and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
Skills and Experience:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and have a working knowledge of desktop computer operations.
Must be familiar with explanation of benefits and health insurance claim forms (HCFA-1500).
2+ years experience in a hospital or Doctor's office setting required.
Must be able to identify what information is listed on imaging reports, surgery reports, and hospital and Doctor’s office notes.
