Responsibilities:

1. Uses bold storytelling techniques to create short-form content including promos, features, sizzle reels and promotional elements.

2. Edits long-form content that seamlessly incorporates information, promotion, personality and drama. These programs premiere on Fox Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass and include fighter profiles, archival event coverage and original long-form programming.

3. Responsibility for innovating the visual design of entire programs, including themes, music, color treatment and graphic look.

4. Works independently on some projects and collaborates with teammates on other projects.

5. Other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Expertise:

1. Minimum of five (5) years editing experience on both short-form and long-form projects for broadcast television.

2. Must have an ever-evolving understanding of the latest editing techniques and visual trends, as well as the agility to incorporate them into existing formats and brand guidelines.

3. Must be proficient in HD workflow, Adobe Premier, Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Studio Suite, After Effects, Photoshop, and have solid technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in motion graphics is preferred. Experience with 3D modeling and animation a plus. Experience with tapeless workflow preferred.

4. Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

5. Experience working for an agency, post-production company or broadcast creative team is a plus.

6. College degree preferred, High School diploma or equivalent GED required.

7. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is necessary.

9. Must maintain discretion and confidential information.

10. Must have working knowledge of basic administrative office computer programs, on Mac and Windows PC workstations.

11. Experience in a sports environment preferred. Knowledge of MMA is a plus.

12. Work hours will typically take place Monday through Friday.

The Sound Designer I works as an integral member of a collaborative production team to assist in the creation of sound designs, re-recording mixes and masters of promos, programs, and original TV programming, and digital content. This position works closely with Producers, Editors and department leadership.

Responsibilities:

1. Creates audio mixes and sound design for post-production video and original content. Delivers final files and M&E to Editors as instructed, following broadcast specs.
2. Performs voice-over recordings, sessions, dialog editing and audio treatment of original content.
3. Regulates volume level and sound quality during recording sessions, using control consoles. Delivers files to Editors/Clients as instructed.
4. Receives, syncs and stores all event isos and audio elements. Creates an in-house storage and catalogue of audio files.
5. Exports long-format programs in all formats and stems (Dialog, VO, Music, FX, NAT mono and stereo) and delivers files to the production team.
6. Assists with field/on-location audio when need for production shoots.
7. Troubleshoots and maintains recording equipment and ProTools DAW at the studio.

Skills and Experience:

1. Degree in Audio Engineering, Audio Visual Production, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
2. Proficiency in ProTools HD, Waves Plugins and Final Cut Pro or Premier Pro.
3. 3 – 6 years of relevant professional experience required.
4. Ability to work long hours, and if necessary, odd nightshift hours.
5. Knowledge of the CALM act and standard broadcast deliverables.
6. Experience mixing in 5.1 surround sound preferred.
7. Fluency in Spanish preferred.
8. Fluency in other languages a plus.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Good organizational and project management skills are necessary.
11. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment.

The Assistant Editor is responsible for supporting the Zuffa edit staff in their daily needs, facilitating the archive of the Zuffa library and supporting outside production vendors in their needs for content. This position is also responsible for trafficking promos and creating event PR reels along with convention DVD content loops. This position does not travel and remains at Zuffa headquarters. Due to space and the availability of equipment, this position generally works the swing shift.

Essential Functions:
• Digitize, convert and organize content for use by editors
• Clip highlights after each event using a Digital Asset System; log and export content from the Digital Asset System for use by editors
• Compile footage for contracted vendors for producing features for the live event broadcasts and promotional programming
• Lay timelines to tape when projects are completed by editors
• Convert show masters to various formats for international distribution to partners
• Edit and author DVDs for loops played at convention booths, fighter appearances and press conferences
• Arrange fighter highlights for upcoming events for Public Relations department and create graphics for use in live events
 
Minimum Qualifications:
• 1-2 years experience in a related field
• High School, GED or equivalent required.  Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Final Cut and Avid non linear editing systems.
• Knowledge of various video codecs and compression medthods; experience with 3D modeling and animation a plus
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud preferred.
• Knowledge of DVD and Blu-ray disc formats preferred; knowledge of tape based workflows a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing with individuals in all levels of the organization.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to small details.
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent decision making ability.

The Live Streaming and Media Operations Specialist position is the central point of contact for coordination and fulfillment of all live streaming events broadcast digitally across platforms under our control (e.g. UFC TV, Fight Pass, YouTube, Sony, Amazon, etc.) around the world. This includes responsibility for planning, coordination, distribution, oversight and carrying out all encoding, metadata creation, and delivery methods of all digital video assets from new and existing content libraries under the control of Zuffa. The Live Streaming & Media Management Specialist provides direction to associated vendors and team members involved in the live streaming and digital video cycle, while supporting key initiatives for executive stakeholders, vendors and customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Carries out execution of technical company and third-party projects as assigned.
2. Activates and oversees live streams of press conferences, weigh-ins, and live mixed martial arts events as assigned.
3. Creates metadata for product delivery as assigned.
4. Understands and keeps track of video encoding delivery deadlines, and works to keep deliveries on schedule when there are changes.
5. Assists with development of distribution plans for future events and completes metadata within third party deadlines.
6. Publishes metadata to external and internal systems.
7. Maintains and grows transactional content library, including asset management, metadata optimization, and image management.
8. Keeps track of all inventory deliveries, electronic or physical, and makes sure materials are returned or purged once content license has expired.
9. Follows up with partners/vendors to make sure all content is published as contracted, and that metadata showcases each product as intended.
10. Schedules and coordinates all posts through any other distribution channels.
11. Helps identify opportunities and troubleshoots delivery fulfillment.
12. Supports quality control of all video ingested, insuring all assets are loaded and play properly for the end-user, on all supported devices.
13. Leads the search for innovation that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of workflows associated with live streaming and media management.
14. Evaluates new methods of live streaming and media management, and proposes concepts most worthy to respective team members for consideration.
15. Performs other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

1. 2+ years of project management experience associated with live streaming and media management.
2. Demonstrated project management experience identifying technical requirements, developing scores of works, maintaining project budgets and schedules.
