Strategy for Winning:

Our office consists of people who are passionate, dedicated and innovative. 

This Digital Content role is responsible for day-to-day management of the company’s YouTube Channel and content as well as assisting with other digital distribution platforms. This position works closely with project teams including, but not limited to, Content, Creative, Production and Marketing for platform and event initiatives, as well as developing multimedia strategy for the company’s digital distribution.


1.     Takes a lead role in developing and executing editorial and programming management of YouTube and other distribution outlets including web, mobile and connected device applications, ensuring cross-platform synchronicity (iOS, Apple TV, Android, Xbox, Amazon Fire, Roku etc).

2.     Works with Content team and other editorial and marketing staff to help develop and execute content release strategy in support of live events, Original content, premium programming and full event replays

3.     Develops multimedia promotional strategy for live events including creation of digital video and social media content.

4.     Manage asset collection for all videos, making sure videos have proper metadata when uploaded; as well as tracking all uploaded videos for reporting and analysis.

5.     Review content on YouTube to discover and claim user generated content containing UFC’s intellectual properties and apply the correct claiming and monetization policies to claimed content

6.     Collaborates closely and effectively with departmental teams including, but not limited to, Content, Public Relations, Production, Creative, and Marketing for platform and event initiatives.

7.     Works with Project Manager to develop Content and Marketing strategies optimized for YouTube and other Digital Platforms.

8.     Creates and manages content for social media postings in support of live events, exclusive programming, and other special programming initiatives.

9.     Collaborates with marketing and internal stakeholders to support significant spend social media campaigns.

10.  Performs other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

1.     Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Sports Management, New Media, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

2.      3 - 5 years of professional experience in a similar role with a creative agency, newspaper, blog, portal, sports entity, entertainment site, or TV department/studio.

3.     Experienced in the management and optimization of YouTube and YouTube Analytics.

4.     Understanding of different media rights landscapes (e.g., different geographies) and experience managing digital rights.

5.     Ability to generate video content utilizing content gathering tools.

6.     Knowledge of combat sports – and mixed martial arts in particular - is required.

7.     Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Dropbox, Google docs), other cloud-based systems, and the ability to learn other basic computer programs.

8.     Experience in non-linear editing systems including Premiere, Final Cut, Avid, plus encoding software desired.

9.     Working knowledge in all major social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Periscope, Snapchat) is a must.

10.  Experience working with video platforms (Hulu, YouTube, Daily Motion, Vessel) desired.

11.  Experience working with Google Analytics preferred.

12.  Demonstrated writing ability.

13.  Extreme attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

14.  Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.

15.  Ability to think strategically and manage workflows and timelines of creative assets.

16.   Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and to switch gears and mind-set frequently and rapidly to capitalize on traffic opportunities.

17.  Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

18.  Team player with a positive attitude, as well as the ability to take initiative is required

19.  YouTube certification a plus.
