Strategy for Winning:

Our office consists of people who are passionate, dedicated and innovative. The Project Manager works within the Marketing Partnerships department managing the preparation and deployment of client projects and presentations.  This position serves as the owner of all UFC related proposal materials that merge consumer insights, primary research results, company statistics, and creative ideas into useful visualizations, info-graphics and diagrams.

  • Analyzes data into industry concepts to transform them into clear, accurate and compelling visual/graphical representations for use in print, interactive and web mediums
  • Facilitates interdepartmental brainstorming sessions on behalf of the sales team to maximize creative ideation for client programing
  • Manages approvals with stakeholders on all asset ideation
  • Ability to ensure high-quality design
  • Produce exceptional graphic presentation
  • Collaborates with the Creative Services department to maintain up-to-date brand and company creative for all presentations
  • Manages the Marketing Partnerships presentation database
  • Ability to manage/design with a collaborative leadership style which puts value on relationships, both internal and external
  • Ability to communicate effectively in presentations and in writing
  • Ability to develop and complete projects without continued direct supervision
  • Ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and provide high-quality service to clients
  • Ability to use Adobe, PowerPoint, Sketch, inVision, Keynote & Custom Show
  • Self-directed talent; creative expressions and exploration of the possible ways to convey meaning with existing data, and asset ideation while maintaining brand integrity
  • Strong Organizational skills

Skills & Experience

  • BA or BFA. Graphic design, data design, or equivalent combination of training and work experience
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in graphic design and project management
  • Ability to translate data and research into compelling visual stories
  • Demonstrated expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Demonstrated expertise in graphic design practices and concepts
  • Final Cut, Avid or other video editing software a plus
  • Expert organizational skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Knowledge of project management processes, workflow and terminology
  • Ability to function well in a fast paced (sometimes chaotic) environment under tight deadlines
  • Strong problem solving skills to troubleshoot questions and concern Ability to take art direction and actively seek feedback

This Digital Content role is responsible for day-to-day management of the company’s YouTube Channel and content as well as assisting with other digital distribution platforms. This position works closely with project teams including, but not limited to, Content, Creative, Production and Marketing for platform and event initiatives, as well as developing multimedia strategy for the company’s digital distribution.

Responsibilities:

1.     Takes a lead role in developing and executing editorial and programming management of YouTube and other distribution outlets including web, mobile and connected device applications, ensuring cross-platform synchronicity (iOS, Apple TV, Android, Xbox, Amazon Fire, Roku etc).

2.     Works with Content team and other editorial and marketing staff to help develop and execute content release strategy in support of live events, Original content, premium programming and full event replays

3.     Develops multimedia promotional strategy for live events including creation of digital video and social media content.

4.     Manage asset collection for all videos, making sure videos have proper metadata when uploaded; as well as tracking all uploaded videos for reporting and analysis.

5.     Review content on YouTube to discover and claim user generated content containing UFC’s intellectual properties and apply the correct claiming and monetization policies to claimed content

6.     Collaborates closely and effectively with departmental teams including, but not limited to, Content, Public Relations, Production, Creative, and Marketing for platform and event initiatives.

7.     Works with Project Manager to develop Content and Marketing strategies optimized for YouTube and other Digital Platforms.

8.     Creates and manages content for social media postings in support of live events, exclusive programming, and other special programming initiatives.

9.     Collaborates with marketing and internal stakeholders to support significant spend social media campaigns.

10.  Performs other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

1.     Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Sports Management, New Media, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

2.      3 - 5 years of professional experience in a similar role with a creative agency, newspaper, blog, portal, sports entity, entertainment site, or TV department/studio.

3.     Experienced in the management and optimization of YouTube and YouTube Analytics.

4.     Understanding of different media rights landscapes (e.g., different geographies) and experience managing digital rights.

5.     Ability to generate video content utilizing content gathering tools.

6.     Knowledge of combat sports – and mixed martial arts in particular - is required.

7.     Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Dropbox, Google docs), other cloud-based systems, and the ability to learn other basic computer programs.

8.     Experience in non-linear editing systems including Premiere, Final Cut, Avid, plus encoding software desired.

9.     Working knowledge in all major social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Periscope, Snapchat) is a must.

10.  Experience working with video platforms (Hulu, YouTube, Daily Motion, Vessel) desired.

11.  Experience working with Google Analytics preferred.

12.  Demonstrated writing ability.

13.  Extreme attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

14.  Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.

15.  Ability to think strategically and manage workflows and timelines of creative assets.

16.   Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and to switch gears and mind-set frequently and rapidly to capitalize on traffic opportunities.

17.  Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

18.  Team player with a positive attitude, as well as the ability to take initiative is required

19.  YouTube certification a plus.

Essential Functions:

1.      Assists team in producing artwork for marketing print and digital campaigns, including but not limited to Key Art, billboards, newspaper ads, marketing kits, magazine ads, television graphics, web and social media assets, cable guide ads, event programs and other projects as assigned.

2.      Assists team in preparation for new ideas and fresh designs as assigned for print, web and broadcast deliverables, servicing a variety of internal UFC departments.

3.      Resizes existing artwork as assigned for print, web and broadcast assets.

4.      Works in collaboration with other designers internally and externally.

5.      Assists with preparation for meetings as directed.

6.      Helps to ensure consistency and continuity with brand identity in all assets.

7.      Performs other duties as assigned.

We are seeking candidates that are:

1.      Design, Creative, Fine Arts, Advertising major or other programs relevant to graphic design and creative services. Junior, Senior level preferred

2.      Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

3.      Computer literate in a Mac environment

4.      An eye for color and page layout

5.      Strong accuracy and proofreading abilities

6.      Ability to work with already established visual identity and brand standards

7.      Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing

8.      Ability to maintain discretion and protect confidential information

9.      Good organizational skills and attention to detail

10.    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

11.    Willing to learn and grow

Requirements:

- Must be enrolled in relevant academic program. Candidates that have already graduated at the start of the internship are not eligible unless you are receiving academic credit.
- May receive academic credit for the internship.
- Should be able to work a minimum of 30+ hours per week if also attending school or 35+ hours per week if not currently attending classes.
